The work of...a gardener.

Today, the Fronsac and Canon Fronsac vineyards stand out thanks to their winemakers’ technical efforts and the strife for excellence on the 1,150 ha of both appellations. Physically small but with exceptional terroirs , these appellations have nowadays reached the necessity of combining their efforts with their terroirs ’ quality. Thanks to their experience and know-how, the winemakers can dedicate themselves to technically improve both the vine (green harvesting, complete leaf removal, etc.) and the wine cellar (sorting tables, adapted macerations, new vinification methods) with absolute respect of the environment.

Moreover many renowned oenologists, whose help and advice is sought after throughout the world, come from this region. Numerous experiments have been conducted, even on the smallest properties, with the Faculté d’Œnologie (Faculty of Oenology) at Bordeaux University , and also with the Lycée de Libourne-Montagne and other laboratories established in the region.
