Château Lambert

Overview

In the Fronsac region, wine is particularly present in families living there. Already in the early twentieth century, all families had a few parcels of vines for their own consumption. Commercialization on a larger scale was then reserved for large estates. The Bordeille family has not escaped this tradition.

The decades go by and the family acquires different parcels and in 1970, she owns 5 ha in the Fronsac appellation and 74 ares in Bordeaux.

Until that date, all harvests are sold in bulk at the Lugon winery. But in 1970, the first bottling is done at the Château, which corresponds to the beginning of commercialization.

However, this activity is not yet generating enough money to be able to live properly, so this is why Maurice Bordeille develops a company of painting in building.

In 1982, Maurice and his son Patrick joined forces and created the SCEA Bordeille to facilitate the exploitation of the various parcels. In the meantime, the property has been extended by 14 ha, still on the Fronsac appellation.

In 1995, Emmanuelle, Patrick’s daughter, joined a renowned trader at Place de Bordeaux in the accounting department. Then in 2000, she decided to join the family business in co-management with her father until 2006, when she took the reins of the company and Château Lambert.
