The winemakers of Fronsac and Canon Fronsac have long been committed to an environmentally-friendly approach.
Since 2011, the specification of each appellation incorporates agro-environmental measures prohibiting the use of herbicides and promoting natural methods of weed control in the vineyards.
The vineyards of 85% of winegrowing properties are engaged in sustainability certification.

30% of the surfaces are either certified organic or in conversion
